Who are we?

Indelibles: indie authors leaving an indelible mark on readers’ hearts.

The Indelibles are a 27-member indie author co-operative, formed in 2011 to support each other in our writing and publishing journeys. We started as a YA focused group, but have grown to publish everything from MG to YA to NA to adult. And while we are all indie-published, many Indelibles have small-press and big-press publications as well. We support each other as we grow our careers, whatever path that may take. By working together and sharing experiences, we’ve amassed a wealth of knowledge about the business of indie publishing, something we like to pay forward through our blog (and the Indie Life bloghop) to help our fellow indie authors. We cross-promote and market together, but the strength of the group has always been having a safe place to share information and get support on our journeys. As the Indie Life motto says, “Going indie doesn’t have to mean going it alone.”

Alicia Kat Vancil
Blog Twitter Facebook Goodreads

Alicia Kat Vancil grew up in the heart of Silicon Valley where she amused herself by telling stories to anyone around her--her family, her friends...random strangers. Eventually she actually started writing those stories down instead of just spending hours hanging out in fake Ikea living rooms and telling her friends about them. Somewhere amongst all the character-torturing and epic explosions she managed to get a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and open a graphics studio (Multi-tasking for the win!).
Kat still lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, two very crazy studio cats, and nine overfull bookcases. And when not running a muck in the imaginary worlds within her head, Kat can usually be found performing, watching anime, or hanging out in Twitter chats.
